Act II Teen Improv Class

Act II Playhouse will sponsor an Improv Class for teens in grades nine through 12, on Tuesdays, Feb. 7 through April 3 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.

This class focuses on the basics of improvisation, exploring techniques used by the comedic geniuses in Saturday Night Live and Funny or Die. This fun and physical class teaches students to think on their feet and to listen and respond in the moment. Teens will learn acting technique through theater games and   exercises focused on body, voice, and  imagination. Students learn how to create scenes, say “yes and...” to improv partners, and expand their imaginations. The class concludes with a showcase performance on Act II's stage for family and friends (following the final class).
