Lower Gwynedd Township Countrie Picnic

Lower Gwynedd Township will be holding their annual Countrie Picnic on Saturday September 22 from 12-4:00pm.  The event brings together area businesses, civic organizations, and residents.   We would like to thank our sponsors of this year’s event Susquehanna Bank and Ambler Savings and Loan.  Once again there will be Free Amusement Rides, Silhouette Artist, Face Painting and a special appearance by Stubby the Helicopter from the American Helicopter Museum.  The Taste of Lower Gwynedd will once again be featuring great restaurants with some samples from their restaurants: Arpeggio, Andy’s Diner, Il Giardino Pizza Café, Mina Cucina Rustica, La Villa Mexican Grille, Scoogi’s Classic Italian Restaurant, The Spring House Tavern and Toni Roni’s.

The Wissahickon Fire Company, North Penn Fire Company, Ambler Ambulance Association and the Lower Gwynedd Township Police Department will have a great display of the Emergency Vehicles for the kids to get up close and personal.  The Lower Gwynedd Township Police Department will be on hand for children and youth finger printing.

Join family, friends and neighbors and meet members from local businesses, and restaurants.  Talk to representatives from our local nonprofit organizations to learn what you can do to make a difference in your neighborhood and local community.  Some of the organizations who will present are: Wissahickon Valley Public Library and the Friends Group, North Wales Water Authority, Canine Country, Gwynedd Mercy College, Woman’s Club of Whitpain, and German Shepherd Rescue of Southeastern Pa and many more.
