CANCELED Sounds of the Big Band Era

Homelink's Meals on Wheels will host Sounds of the Big Band Era, a concert featuring The Nocturnes with vocalist Cheryl Parker, Oct. 29 at 1 p.m., at Ambler Theater.

The Nocturnes bring back the swinging jazz sound of the Big Band Era, with original scores and classics from Duke Ellington, the Gershwin Brothers and many more.

Doors open at noon for pre-concert refreshments and a raffle.

The purpose of the concert is to raise funds and awareness for Meals on Wheels agencies in Philadelphia and Montgomery Counties, to combat senior hunger.

Homelink's Meals on Wheels is a private, non-profit agency providing home-delivered meals to adults having difficulty managing meal prep.
