Friends of the Wissahickon Trail Ambassadors will present a free lecture series at Cedars House in Wissahickon Valley Park. The 45-minute presentations will cover a variety of topics related to the Wissahickon.
On Jan. 29 at 2 p.m., Trail Ambassador Sarah West will discuss the homesteads once found in the Wissahickon Valley, many of which were associated with the mill communities along the creek.
Programs are suitable for everyone 10 and over. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Lectures may be canceled in the event of hazardous weather conditions. No reservations are necessary.
