Friends of the Wissahickon Trail Ambassadors will present a free lecture series at Cedars House in Wissahickon Valley Park. The 45-minute presentations will cover a variety of topics related to the Wissahickon.
On March 25 at 2 p.m., Trail Ambassador Sarah West will offer an introduction to the geology of the Wissahickon Gorge. If weather is suitable, visitors will take a short, easy, geology walk along Forbidden Drive, between Northwestern Avenue and Bell's Mill Road.
Programs are suitable for everyone 10 and over. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Lectures may be canceled in the event of hazardous weather conditions. No reservations are necessary.
