Families Meet to Discuss New Regional Catholic School

Families from the three Catholic elementary schools met to discuss the new regional Catholic school which will open in September.

Parents from , as well as St. Alphonsus Elementary, and St. Catherine’s Elementary met on March 1 at St. Alphonsus Parish Center to discuss the unifying of the three schools into Our Lady of Mercy Regional Catholic Elementary School.

The new regional elementary school will open in September.

According to the Ambler Gazette, the new regional school’s goal is to focus on common threads of the three schools and work toward merging each school’s traditions and strengths.

At the town hall meeting, parents were told that every family will pay equal tuition and registration fees to the school, and the money will go to the school and not to the parishes. The school will be responsible for balancing their budget.
