Germantown Academy ice hockey team opened league play on Wednesday, Dec. 7, with a 3-3 tie against The Haverford School, despite trailing two points halfway through the second period.
Will McNamara was able to score the tying goal with an assist from Bill Oppenheimer, team captain, scored the tying goal on a power-play, 6 minutes, 38 seconds into the third period.
