Giant launches Peapod by Giant, for Groceries Delivered to Your Home

Peapod announced today the introduction of Peapod by Giant service. The online service offers grocery delivery to residents of Ambler, Lower Gwynedd and Whitpain.

Deliveries began last Friday, delivering fresh fruits and vegetables, seafood, meats and dairy, all at the click of a mouse.

 “ is very happy to be offering delivery service as another shopping option to our customers in Philadelphia.” said Rick Herring, president of GIANT Food Stores in a press release. “Just like GIANT, Peapod will provide a wide selection of well-priced, top quality and fresh products but with the ease of Internet shopping and delivery.”

By visiting Peapod’s website, shoppers have the ability to create shopping lists, read nutrition labels, and take advantage of coupons. Peapod by Giant will offer customers Gas Extra Rewards points and A+ School Rewards points.

PeapodMobile, a free app for iPhone/iPad, Andriod, and Palm Pre users has all the shopping features of Peapod’s website, along with some features exclusively for mobile users.

Groceries can be delivered as soon as the next day or arranged to fit your schedule.
