The Happy Mixer, a gluten-free bakery, is now open in the New Britain Village Shopping Center.
The bakery, located at 202 and County Line Road, offers a variety of baked goods that are 100-percent gluten free.

The Happy Mixer is owned by Timothy Mourer, who in the past has owned and operated a traditional bakery. Mourer said it has been his dream to open a gluten-free bakery since he removed gluten from his diet in 2009.
After selling his traditional bakery, Mourer said he “set out on a mission” to develop gluten free recipes. “I turned my home kitchen into a test lab for a year, fine tuning the classics of a traditional bakery,” he said.

Hours are Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
