Gypsy Blu, El Limon Bought In Ambler: Report
A new restaurant and cocktail bar are coming to the borough.
AMBLER, PA — A pair of long standing Ambler restaurants and a hotel have been purchased by a new owner and two new establishments are on the way, according to a Philadelphia Business Journal report.
Montgomery County restaurateur Barry Caplan bought the properties of the Wyndham Hotel, which includes Gypsy Blue, as well as the neighboring El Limon, the report states.
Gypsy Blu, located on 34 E. Butler Avenue , will be split into two separate venues: an American restaurant called Porter, and a cocktail bar called Gaslight, according to the report.

El Limon will remain in operation on 38 E. Butler Avenue.
They're slated to open in April 2026.

The historic Victorian style hotel was built in 1893.
