Investigation Continues Into Fatal Stabbing, Arson In Whitpain Township

WHITPAIN TOWNSHIP, PA — Weeks later, there are more questions than answers after a man was found stabbed to death inside a burning home in Whitpain Township.

At first, it was just a fire: a massive blaze on 25 Township Line Road which lit up the Blue Bell section of the township at 2:10 in the morning on May 4.

Soon it was discovered that a body was inside the home, and the community assumed that one of the residents of the home had perished in a fire.

But the next day, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office announced that Won Woo Do, 56, had in fact died of multiple stab wounds. The fire had seemingly been set after Do was already dead.

Do was found in the bedroom of the residence. There were two other residents who lived in the home, but neither were at home at the time of the fire.

Authorities said that no arrests have yet been made in the case.

The investigation is being led by Whitpain Township Police and the Montgomery County Detective Bureau.
