Joseph E. Deam, age 73, of Ambler

Joe Deam, of Ambler, served in the US Navy from 1957 to 1977 as an air traffic controller.

Joseph E. Deam, age 73 died Saturday April 28, 2012 at his home in Ambler, PA.

Born in Tipp City, OH, he was the son of the late Robert W. and Edna (nee Magel) Deam.

Joe served in the US Navy from 1957 to 1977 as an Air Traffic Controller with assignments in Keflavik, Iceland, Oceana, VA and New Orleans, LA. After retirement from the Navy Joe was a Logistics Manager for Decision Data in Horsham from 1979 to 1999.

Mr. Deam served as the Sacristan for 10 years from 1999 to 2009 at St. Joseph Church in Ambler where he was also a member; He also belonged to the US Navy fleet reserve and the Patriot Guard.

He is the beloved husband of Roseann M. (nee Trovato) Deam and the devoted father of Tamara A. Bruno and her husband Joseph of Schwenksville, PA and Tina M. Ricci and her husband Raymond of Telford, PA. He is the loving Grandfather of Joseph, AJ, Raymond and Rachel and brother of Gene Ann Passon of New Carlisle, OH

Relatives and Friends may call Thursday May 3, 2012 from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. Funeral with a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph Church with the Rev. Eugene Tully, Pastor as Celebrant. Interment will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville.

Remembrances in his name to St. Joseph's Church, 16 S. Spring Garden Street, Ambler, PA 19002 would be appreciated by the family.
