Local Artists Featured During Art Trail

Studio Open Houses will be held on April 28 and 29 as part of the Greater Norristown Art League's Art Trail.

The Greater Norristown Art League’s 3rd annual Art Trail will be held on Saturday, April 28 and Sunday, April 29 form 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The art trail is a unique way to view local artists work, as well as get to know the artist as they open their creative space for the community.

The Art Trail has free admission and is self guided tours, and no reservations are required.

Local artist, Fred Kreitchet, of Blue Bell, who works in bronze, plaster, woods, resins and epoxy, will open his studio at 510 School Rd. in Blue Bell.

The artist told Greater Norristown Art League, “My studio and bronze foundry is the place where I make my living and serve artists, architects and businesses including zoos, museums, and educational institutions.”

Susan Williamson, whose studio is located at 616 Montgomery Rd. in Ambler, works in pastel with gouache or watercolors.

Williamson paints mostly landscapes on site and animal paintings from photographs. She told Greater Norristown Art League, “I hope to make the viewer think more deeply about the earth and the creatures that inhabit it.”

Other artists are located in East Norriton, North Wales, Green Lane Eagleville, Norristown and Dresher.
