Local Libraries Celebrating National Library Week

Plenty of events going on to celebrate National Library Week at Wissahickon Valley Library branches.

The American Library Association has designated April 8 to14 as National Library Week, and the Montgomery County Commissioners want to encourage county residents to support their local libraries and make time to read with their families.

“Reading is a solid foundation on which to build a child’s education and a great way to spend quality time with your family,” said Josh Shapiro, chair of the Montgomery County Commissioners.  “I urge everyone to support this effort and take time to explore their local library.”

Montgomery County has an extensive library and information network consortium with branches located across the county. Constituents can search for county libraries on the Living & Working page of the Montgomery County website. To look up local libraries by township or borough, search the Municipal Fact Sheets page.
