User “JJRuggs” dog Schmitty has won the Top Dog mantle for Lower Gwynedd-Ambler-Whitpain Patch.

Other dogs, like Nina, Ozzy, Bebe and Bella, drew some great comments, as well, but no one had the support that Schmitty had.

Schmitty and the other local winners move on to a regional competition, in which voting will take place from July 9 to July 20.
After that, five regional winners will face off July 23-27 for top honors in the greater Philadelphia area, to be announced July 30.
