Lucia J. "Lucy" Russo, 92, formerly of Ambler

Lucia J. "Lucy" Russo, 92 former resident of Mt. Pleasant Ave in Ambler, died Monday at Dock Terrace in Towamencin, where she had been a resident.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Lucia was the daughter of the late Charles and Daria (nee Dinardo) D'Alessandro. Mrs. Russo was preceded in death by her husband Horace F. Russo in September of 2007.

She was a homemaker and mother who was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, where she was aided in the annual clothing drive and helped make the decorations for many of the CYO activities, including dances and plays. She and her husband were active participants of the Notre Dame Council of the Knights of Columbus and the St. Alphonsus Seniors in Maple Glen.

Lucy is the devoted mother of Wayne Russo and his wife Cheryl of Warrington, PA. Cecelia R Howard and her husband Bill of Hamilton, NJ and Lois A. Russo of Hatfield, PA. She is the loving Grandmother of Annita, Samuel, Michael, Chris and Melissa and Great Grandmother of Sydney and Seamus.

Family and friends may call Monday, March 26th from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 259 Forest Ave., Ambler followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM, with the Rev. Msgr. Stephen P. McHenry, Pastor. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Ambler.
