Montco Robber Steals $10k In Diamond Rings: Reports

The suspect placed his coat over the glass case so that the clerk would not see him remove a tray of eight diamond rings.

AMBLER, PA -- A man allegedly stole a tray of eight diamond rings worth $10,000 from an Ambler jewelry store in January, according to multiple reports.

The incident occurred at about 2 p.m. on January 19 at the Liz-El Jewelry store on the 100 block of East Butler Street, 6 ABC reports. .

The suspect laid his coat over the glass case so that the clerk, who was on the phone at the time, did not see him remove the tray, Montgomery News reports.

The suspect is about 40-50 years old, has a salt and pepper goatee, and is a light-skinned blck male.

He stands about 6’3” tall and is thin, reports state.

He fled in a gold Honda Odyssey minivan with rear bumper damage that is believed to be a 1999-2004 model.
