Montco Man Busted For Child Porn Stash: DA

More than 20 images on his computer showed nude children having sexual contact with other children and adults, police said.

SOUDERTON, PA —A Souderton man was arrested recently after authorities found a stash of child pornography on his home computer, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office announced Tuesdya.

Matthew Laver, 37, faces felony charges for both distributing and possessing the explicit images.

An investigation began in Sept. 2018 after the Bucks County ICAC Task Force discovered that someone in Montgomery County was spreading child pornography on a file sharing network, the DA said.

Detectives connected to Laver's computer and were able to trace it to his residence in Souderton.

When a search warrant was served, more than 20 images on his computer showed nude children having sexual contact with other children and adults, police said.

Bail was set at $100,000 cash and Laver was ordered to have no unsupervised conduct with children, and no access to the Internet.

He was arraigned Oct. 25. A preliminary hearing is forthcoming.
