Montco Man Sentenced After Beating Roommate With Guitar: Report

HATFIELD, PA — A Hatfield man has been sentenced to jail after attacking his roommate with a guitar.

A confrontation began when SK Zahidur Rahman, 39, was upset about his roommate playing music too loudly, according to a Times Herald report.

Rahman then reportedly picked up the guitar and began chasing the victim throughout their home before eventually taking a "two-handed" swing with the guitar and hitting him in the side of the head.

The blow knocked the victim out, according to the report. He called his landlord for help and was taken to the hospital as Rahman tried to convince him to lie about how he got the injuries, the report states.

Rahman will spend nine to 23 months in county jail for the incident, court documents show. He'll also face three years of court supervision.
