Oy Vey 5K to be Held June 10
Congregation Beth Or will hold the annual Oy Vey 5K on Sunday, June 10 with registration open at 8 a.m.

Congregation Beth Or’s 7th annual Oy Vey 5K and 1 Mile Walk, benefiting The Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Fund, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (Delaware Valley Chapter) and Congregation Beth Or, will be held on Sunday, June 10 in Maple Glen, PA. Registration opens at 8 a.m. A pre-race warm up will take place at 8:30 a.m. The 5K race and 1 mile walk will kick-off at 9:00 a.m. Walkers are welcome to stand behind the runners and walk the course.
This event begins and ends at Congregation Beth Or, which is located at 239 Welsh Road in Ambler on the corners of Butler Pike and Welsh Road. The course takes runners and walkers through nearby residential areas on a professionally certified and professionally timed route. Marshals will be stationed throughout the race area to ensure the safety of all participants. The Oy Vey 5K is a rain or shine event.

Awards will be presented to the overall male and female winners, male and female winners over 40 and the top three finishers in eight age divisions. Great prizes will be awarded to all first place finishers in each category. Other highlights of the event will include delicious refreshments, kids’ activities and face painting plus additional fun for participants of all ages. This event is open to the community.
In addition to the race, Congregation Beth Or is inviting the community to take part in the national marrow donor registry that will take place during the race. Beth Or congregant Andy Katz, husband and father of two boys, is battling myelodysplasia (MDS), a serious blood disease.
Hope for Andy -- and thousands like him – lies in a bone-marrow transplant.
