Pancake Breakfast will Benefit SARS

Blue Bell Rotary will hold a Pancake Breakfast on April 15 to benefit Second Alarmer Rescue Squad.

On Sunday, April 15, an all-you-can-eat pancake affair, hosted by the Blue Bell Rotary, will help raise money to permanently house the Second Alarmers Rescue Squad at the .

Besides the pancakes, kids can get their picture taken with Elmo and families can get a first-hand look at the life-saving emergency medical equipment SARS brings to the area.

The event will be held at the from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Tickets for the breakfast are $7 for adults, $5 for children 10 years and under, and are available at the Whitpain Township Building between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday thru Friday.

The Second Alarmers build project’s fund-raising goal is $1.5 million and must be raised by SARS through donations, grants and service reimbursement.

Once completed, the new station will “permanently shelter its two paramedic ambulances, additional lifesaving equipment and highly-trained personnel,” according to the Blue Bell Rotary press release. The project completion date for the project is early 2013.
