Parents and Students Reminded to Register for 9th Grade Orientation

This is just a reminder for all 9th grade parents. If you have not already registered for one of the 9th Grade Parent Orientation sessions there is still time. The deadline for reserving a spot for you and your student is 1:30 PM this Friday, August 17, 2012

This year's program will provide information regarding the 9th Grade Academy and the 21st Century Teaching & Learning Initiative in which all 9th grade students will be assigned a laptop. The 8/23 date features background information, a chance to meet the teachers and administrators, and special activities. Lunch is provided for parents and students.

If you are unable to attend the 8/23 session, a second orientation will be offered to parents and students on August 29, 2012. However, the 8/29 session will only address the technology initiative.

Participation at one of the sessions is necessary for the student to receive their computer.

A packet of information was mailed to all 9th grade parents last week. You can sign up for your tickets by 8/17 by clicking the link in this email or the button on the WHS webpage.
