Pitchers Duel Brings Lady Trojans Out on Top

The Norristown Eagles traveled to Wissahickon Thursday to take on the Lady Trojans. Despite a dominant pitchers' duel between Wissahickon's and Norristown's Gwyn Botley, Norristown eventually lost 3-1.  

Norristown managed only two hits, from Julia Santoro and Sammi Kidd with a single apiece.

According to Norristown Girls' Varsity Softball coach Jon Kandrick, Ziegler pitched 10 strikeouts and had the great support of her defense. Botley worked hard, striking out 13 batters and giving up six hits, but didn't have defensive support, as Norristown had four errors and two runs scored off passed balls.
