Potentially Loud, Disruptive Drilling Begins In Ambler Friday Night
Officials warned residents that the jack and bore work under the train tracks could also send vibrations around the area.

AMBLER, PA — Drilling work in Ambler that could be loud and send vibrations around the area will begin Friday night at midnight, officials said. wBorough leaders warned residents of the potential sound disturbance, which will occur when crews install a new sanitary sewer force main under the SEPTA train tracks with a jack and bore.
Work will continue from midnight Friday to Saturday night at about midnight.
"We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause, and the Borough kindly asks for your patience during this portion of the construction process," the borough said in a statement.

The new force main will utilize pumps to move wastewater. The jack and bore is a specialized construction method that allows piping to be installed without tearing up the surface.
Once construction begins, it must continue for 24 hours straight, authorities said.

Church and Main streets are still open during construction, though delays should be expected.
The Bucks County Water and Sewer Authority project began on March 12.
