Readers Vote Caffe Maida as Area's Best Coffee Shop

With , Ambler’s , serving authentic Italian espresso, gelato and fresh pastries, has been voted by Lower Gwynedd-Ambler-Whitpain Patch readers as the area's best coffee shop.

Caffe Maida was named for a small town in Italy where many Italian immigrants in Ambler come from and is located directly across the street from the historic and the , offering theatergoers a place to relax after a show.

A hidden gem inside Caffe Maida is , where you can pick up a sweet, chocolate treat with your perfectly brewed coffee or cappuccino.

Nick M. on Yelp.com said, “Cafe Maida is a great stop after a movie, before home, or for a coffee and dessert after a local meal.  The ice creams are to die for and the coffee is excellent.”

Ambler Patch reader, Heather McKay, said in a comment, "If you are looking for a traditional sit in coffee shop, Caffe Maida is the best. They have amazing cappuccino and have really good 'regular' coffee too. ... No need to go to a chain like wawa or starbucks when there are so many great locally owned places."
