Release: Two Gwynedd Mercy Academy Student Sign to Colleges
Emily McCauley signed to Fairfield University for field hockey and Olivia Rosenberger signed to Rider University for track.

There was nothing but smiles among the administration and coaches at as seniors Emily McCauley and Olivia Rosenberger signed Division 1 Athletic Scholarships.
Emily McCauley will be attending Fairfield University on a Field Hockey Scholarship. A four-year varsity player and senior captain on the GMAHS field hockey team, she was also named to the 1st Team All NCAA, 2nd Team All State and 2nd Team All Region.
Her coach, Marisa Holzman, a college player at West Chester, stated, “It was a pleasure to coach Emily, Fairfield is lucky to have signed such an amazing young athlete.”

Olivia Rosenberger will be attending Rider University, Lawrenceville, New Jersey for Track and Field. In addition to being named co-captain of the Track and Field Team, she is also a member of the National Honor Society. Rosenberger holds school records in the Long Jump, Triple Jump and was a member of the 400M relay team which placed 3rd in the state at the 2011 AAA Championship.
Mr. Wilson, a coach at GMAHS for 36 years is quoted as saying, ”Olivia has demonstrated an unusual degree of athleticism, focus and dedication to the sport that has resulted in her success and achievements.

Terri Fasano, Athletic Director at Gwynedd, summed it up, “Both athletes have raised the level of competition within their respective sports by their individual dedication and commitment. We are thrilled for them as they pursue their future academic and athletic goals. They have been great role models for the underclassman at Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School.”
The GMAHS’s field hockey team finished third in District 1, thus earning a state bid to the AA State Tournament and their Indoor Track and Field team recently competed at the prestigious Yale Invitational.
