Rita Richard loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Rita A. Richard, 77, of Ambler, PA, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was the beloved wife of Howard S. Richard for 58 years.
Rita was born in Philadelphia, PA on March 30, 1935 to the late Michael and Mary (Ryder) McNicholas.
She was a graduate of Gwynedd Mercy Academy and member of St. Joseph Church in Ambler.
She enjoyed needlework, reading, crossword puzzles and a day at the beach.
She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, Rita is survived by her 8 children: Ann Marie DeJesus (George), Theresa Fox (John), Maryellen Bolger (David), Dennis (Nancy), Brian, Thomas (Joanne), David (Sabine) and Joseph (Janet) Richard; 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son Stephen Richard and a brother Michael McNicholas.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 10 AM at St. Joseph Church, 16 S. Spring Garden St., Ambler.
A viewing will be from 8:00 – 9:30 AM at Emil J. Ciavarelli Family Funeral Home, 951 E. Butler Pike, Ambler, PA 19002.
Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Ambler.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Rita's name may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
