School Officials Discuss How and Why They Voted

Before a school board vote on teacher contracts, board members discuss how and why they are voting the way they are.

After 18 months of negotiations, the administration and the Wissahickon Education Alliance came to an . The contract has a zero percent increase for year one of the three-year contract. For year two, there is a 3.88 percent overall salary increase for the district, and in year three, there is a 3.99 percent overall salary increase for the district.

The three-year retroactive contract spans from July 1, 2010, through June 30, 2013.
