St. Anthony-St. Joseph Elementary School to be Merged in Maple Glen

Due to low enrollment, among other factors, the Philadelphia Archdiocese announced school closures and merges this morning to parish pastors and school presidents and principals of the 156 elementary schools in Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties.

According to a Philly.com report, St. Anthony-St. Joseph in Ambler will merge with St. Catherine of Siena in Horsham and St. Alphonsus in Maple Glen, at the Maple Glen site.

St. Anthony-St. Joseph currently enrolls 159 students, according to a chart put together by Fox29.

Families of St. Anthony-St. Joseph Elementary School will hold a vigil in front of the school tonight at 6 p.m. in light of the news.
