Lower Gwynedd’s Strella MedSpa is hosting Operation Glass Slipper, a prom dress, tuxedo and accessories drive to provide local low-income students with the attire they need to attend prom - at no cost to them. Donations will be accepted this Thursday and Friday, March 19-20, from 10:00 a.m. through 6:00 p.m. at 1108 North Bethlehem Pike.
Donations must be:
- Prom, bridesmaid or formal gown (short/long)
- Tuxedo or suit
- Trendy and fancy, not older than three years old
- Free of damage and excessive stains
- Appealing to a 16-18-year-old
All donations received will be given to Operation PROM, a non-profit that helps thousands of students across the U.S. attend their prom for little to no cost. Operation PROM will be hosting a shopping event for deserving teens at Temple University in April. To be eligible to receive a prom dress or tuxedo from Operation PROM, students must be recommended by their guidance counselor, passing all of their classes, and meet financial aid requirements. Parents may also apply on behalf of their children.
