Temple Ambler Hosts Garlic in the Garden Festival

Friends and community come together to celebrate the life of John Paul Endicott in the John Paul Memorial Garden.

Garlic in the Garden Festival, held at John Paul's Memorial Garden was a coming together of friends and the community to celebrate the life of John Paul Endicott, while engaging in community-building, education and some favorite garlic dishes.

A garlic dish cook-off was held, with two guest judges: Marshall Green, the owner and head chef at Cafe Estelle in Philadelphia; and Pete Kaiser, chef at McMenamin's Tavern in Philadelphia. They chose the creative dish of chocolate covered garlic.

Forest and Main Brewery offered a beer tasting featuring two selections, their Kinch, an IPA style beer and the Garden Wheat, which was specially brewed for this event. Forest and Main Brewery will be opening in fall 2011 in Ambler, serving their beer and "simple, wll made food," said brewer and co-owner Gerard Olson.
