Thomas A. Ward, 87, of Ambler
Thomas Ward was the owner and operator of T. A. Ward Landscaping in Ambler for over 50 years.

Thomas A. Ward, 87, of Ambler died Wednesday, March 14, 2012 in the Abington Hospice at Warminster.
Born in Nanticoke, PA, he was the son of the late Albert and Elizabeth (nee Jablonski) Ward. He was preceded in death by his sister Dorothy Ward Gribb in 1965.
Tom was a graduate of Nanticoke High School in 1942 and served in the US Navy during WWII in the Pacific Theater as a Sea-bee from 1943 to 1946.
He was the owner and operator of T. A. Ward Landscaping in Ambler for over 50 years.
Mr. Ward was a member of Pennsylvania Delaware Valley Woodcarvers Assoc., a Life Member of the NRA and a volunteer at Robbin's Park in Upper Dublin Township.
Tom was an avid hunter and sport fisherman. He was driven by an inherent curiosity to try virtually anything. He was considered to be his neighborhood icon.
Mr. Ward is survived by his niece Victoria Harris and her husband Roger of Horsham, a nephew Thomas W. Gribb and his wife Ruth Ann of Tucson, AZ, and great niece Wendy Gribb of CA.
Family and Friends are invited to call after 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home, 1111 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler. A Funeral Service will be held at 5:00 PM. Interment will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery, Wilkes Barre, PA.
