Turnpike Construction Updates for April 9-14

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission has released its weekly construction update for work on the "NE Extension Reconstruction and Widening Project" from the Mid-County Interchange to Berks Road.

According to the release, general impacts to the following areas include excavating, fence installation, clearing, stump grinding, crushing rock and hauling. Neighborhoods adjacent to the areas may experience "minimal noise impacts," the release says.

Installing drainage Monday, April 9, through Wednesday, April 11, from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Wentz Road, Horseshoe Drive, Lucy Drive, Michaels Lane, DeKalb Pike, Cherry Road

Excavating mainline and installing permanent soil nail wall Monday, April 9 through Saturday April 14 from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Jolly Road, Meadow Drive, Mermaid Lake

Excavating for retaining walls Monday April 9 through Saturday, April 14 from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
