, formerly Kids WeeCycle Sales, will hold two kid’s consignment sales in our area this spring, one in Ambler and one in Blue Bell.

Gina Duchossois, one of the co-founders of Growing Express, said the name was changed to “better align with what might come in the future.”

The spring sales will have new items at each site and parents will find quality, gently used, children’s clothing, baby equipment, toys, nursery items, and more. However, every sale is different and has different items.

Both sales are still looking for consignors. Consignors can register online and check in all of their merchandise online. They set up their merchandise on Friday before the sale and have the opportunity to volunteer on Saturday during the sale.

Duchossois said they are concise sales. The sales open on Friday night for a preview sale. Saturday is the sale, opening at 8 a.m. At noon, the half price sale begins. The whole thing is over by 1 p.m.

Kids and strollers are welcome to join in the fun of the sale, as long as a parent supervises them the whole time.

Prices start at $.50, and Duchossois said the majority of clothing items range between $1 and $6. With all the great deals you’ll find at the Growing Express sales, you’ll want to remember that the sales are cash only.

Kohl’s Mobile Safety Center will also be at both sale days. The Safety Center has bike helmets, carbon monoxide alarms, baby proofing equipment and more, and Duchossois said it is all sold at cost. Professionals staff the Mobile Safety Center and parents are taught how to properly use the safety equipment before they head home with it.

“They provide education and savings to the community,” said Duchossois.

The Ambler sale will be held on March 24 at on Bethlehem Pike and the Blue Bell sale will be held on April 21 at Grace Baptist Church of Blue Bell on Skippack Pike.
