Whitpain, Montco Community College To Be Sprayed For West Nile
Parts of Whitpain Township and Montco Community College will be sprayed to help control the mosquito population and limit West Nile Virus.
WHITPAIN, PA — Parts of Whitpain Township will be sprayed to help control the mosquito population and limit West Nile Virus.
The spraying will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 15 from 8:15 p.m. to midnight. Spraying will take place within the yellow areas outlined on the maps above. The affected area includes Montgomery County Community College, bounded by Morris Road, Dekalb Pike, and Cathcart Roads. It also includes an area bounded by the Pennsylvania Turnpike, Dekalb Pike, N. Wales Road, and W. Township Line Road.
A rain date for the spraying has been set for Aug. 22.

The spraying will target areas where mosquitoes breed with Duet duel-action adulticide. Spray will be dispersed at a rate of .75 ounces per acre.

It is recommended that residents stay indoors for the duration of the spraying and for about 30 minutes after.
