Multiple roads remain closed throughout the Township, but roadways are slowly reopening as Public Works crews make progress clearing trees from roadways. In some instances, wires are tangled in downed trees and Public Works crews are waiting for PECO to clear the wires so trees can be safely removed.
Several utility poles are down on Union Meeting Road and PECO expects a prolonged closure as their crews work to clear and install new utility poles.

The Township declared an emergency at 4:15 p.m. and opened the Emergency Operations Center.
As of 9 p.m., 48% of the Township is without power. Please do not go near any downed power lines. To report a power outage, please call PECO at 1-800-841-4141 or report the outage online. 5:45 p.m. Update
Multiple roads are closed throughout the Township and over 70% of the Township is without power due to the strong storm that moved through the area this afternoon. The Township declared an emergency at 4:15 p.m. and opened the Emergency Operations Center.
Significant storm damage occurred at an office building on Union Meeting Road where the building’s roof partially blew off during the storm. All occupants in the building were safely evacuated.
