While I see that the plans for building a new high school are on hold (thank goodness), is building a new school really necessary? Is that going to improve our student performance? Is this really the solution?
Homeowners without school aged children are fleeing the Upper Dublin school district with their increased taxes of almost 25% with the building of a new school.
I haven't heard what the plans are for financing this project, but we should all be concerned. Meanwhile, we closed the Mattison Elementary school due to "economic factors."
The school board had the opportunity in the mid 1990's to build a new high school instead of prolonged, agonizing and over-budget renovations-that's when it should have been done....
