Wissahickon Awarded $10,000 Whole Kids Grant For Cooking Show, Gardens

Whole Foods, a partner with Wissahickon School District, awarded Wissahickon a $10,000 Whole Kids grant.

Wissahickon Cooks, one of the many programs created, filmed and edited by students, was awarded a $10,000 Whole Kids grant from Whole Foods Markets.

The grant, which was awarded to the district for the cooking program and the school gardens, comes after a two-year long partnership between and Whole Foods Markets.

Assistant Superintendent Dr. Christopher Marchese said the partnership has been great and has helped the district’s initiative in healthy kids and thanked Whole Foods for their continued work with WIssahickon.
