Murder Investigation Underway In Ambler
Breaking: Authorities have launched an investigation after finding a woman dead on her bedroom floor inside her Ambler home.

AMBLER, PA — Authorities have launched an investigation after finding a woman dead inside her Ambler home early Monday morning.
Authorities were first called to the scene of the 100 block of South Chestnut Street at around 6:19 a.m. Police said they had been called to check up on the resident inside.
The front door was unlocked and police found the woman dead on the floor of her bedroom, the District Attorney's Office said.

Police said the homicide appears to be "domestic-related," but declined to provide further details. They added that there is no public safety concern.
However, a high-ranking law enforcement official reportedly told NBC10 that the victim was beaten and had her throat slit by her granddaughter.

The identity of the victim is being with held pending notification of the family. The Montgomery County Coroner's Office, meanwhile, is conducting an autopsy to determine cause of death.
