2 Die In Lower Merion From Coronavirus: Montgomery County

Montgomery County Monday said two Lower Merion Township residents have died due to the new coronavirus as deaths in the county hit 27.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Montgomery County's data on the new coronavirus shows two people in Lower Merion Township have died from the illness.

Data released Monday revealed of the county's five new deaths, two were Lower Merion residents.

According to the county, the victims were identified as an 84-year-old man and an 87-year-old woman. Officials said there is no known relationship between the victims.

Lower Merion Township has the most cases of all Montgomery County municipalities with 154.

Eighty cases are in men and 73 are in women. Lower Merion has another case for which the gender has not been identified.

The county has had 1,134 cases and 27 deaths.

Nearby, Narberth Borough has three cases. Haverford has 52 cases, Whitemarsh has 33 cases, Upper Merion has 32 cases, Radnor Township has 29 cases, Conshohocken has 10 cases, and West Conshohocken has no cases.
