2 Main Line Intersections Among Area's Most Dangerous, Firm Says
Two of the area's worst intersections for crashes are on the Main Line, according to a local law firm. See where they are here.

A local law firm has put together an interactive crash map displaying the 10 most dangerous intersections across Montgomery County. And two intersections on the Main Line are among the area's worst.
The firm, Jenkintown-based Solnick and Associates, used data from the Association for Safe International Road Travel to compile their rankings.
Those are the Lancaster Avenue-Haverford Station Road intersection in Haverford and the Belmont Avenue-City Avenue intersection in Bala Cynwyd.

According to the firm, there were 26 accidents with 3 resulting in injuries at the Lancaster Avenue-Haverford Station Road intersection in 2016.
Eighteen crashes were reported in 2016 at the Belmont Avenue-City Avenue intersection. Seven of those resulted in injuries.

The most dangerous intersection in Montgomery County was, perhaps unsurprisingly, in King of Prussia.
North Warner runs between the Wegmans at the new King of Prussia Town Center and the Walmart, and is actually a few blocks away from what would likely be considered the heart of the mall traffic. Given the recent development at the town center, the accidents could be caused by motorists becoming accustomed to new traffic patterns.
As for the remainder of the list, Bethlehem Pike makes the list twice (in Colmar and in Montgomeryville). And several of the most dangerous intersections are located at or very close to major shopping hubs in Conshohocken and of course King of Prussia.
The rest of the intersections included on the list are below:
- 449-471 N Gulph Rd, King of Prussia
- 401 Lincoln Highway, Haverford
- 548 Freeman School Road, Lower Salford
- 1316 Welsh Road, Ambler
- 1358 Blue Bell Pike, Blue Bell
- 935 Bethlehem Pike, Colmar
- 102 Alan Wood Road, Conshohocken
- 776 Bethlehem Pike, Montgomeryville
- Belmont Avenue and City Avenue, Bala Cynwyd
- Tookany Creek Parkway and Ashmead Road, Cheltenham
A total of 1,188 people lost their lives in traffic accidents in Pennsylvania in 2016. However, that number represents a significant reduction from the year before; in fact, according to Solnick, it's the lowest number of deaths in 86 years.
