2021 Primary Election Day In Lower Merion: Who's On The Ballot

Pennsylvania's primary election is coming up. Here's what voters need to know about this year's local elections.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — The 2021 primary election in Pennsylvania is just around the corner, and several municipal races are on the ballot for local voters to decide.

Many of the races that appear on the ballots are uncontested in the primary, meaning that the only real decision voters will need to make will come in the general election in November.

However, there are some important primary races that will be determined May 18, not to mention the ballot questions on proposed constitutional amendments.

Here's a glance at what voters will see in the Lower Merion area:

In the school board race, eight are on the Democratic ballot, and two are cross filed on the Republican ballot.

The eight Democrats are Anna R. Shurak, Kimberly Garrison, Christina Fink, Brendan Sammon, Melanie Schafmeister, Mary Brown, Travis Kreiser, Kerry Sautner

Brown, Fink, and Kreiser are cross filed as Republicans.

As for the township supervisors, Democrats Joshua L. Grimes, Anthony C. Stevenson, Andy Gavrin, Shawn Kraemer, Todd Sinai, and Richard Churchill are on the ballot.

Scott Zelov is the lone Republican on the ballot.

Polls will open Tuesday, May 18 at 7 a.m. Voters can cast ballots up until 8 p.m.
