50 Best Philly-Area Restaurants Includes Ardmore Spot

ARDMORE, PA — The Main Line's food scene is getting more and more love from diners and critics alike.

And one of its newer spots was recently listed among the 50 best restaurants in the region.

Philadelphia Magazine published its "50 Best Restaurants in Philadelphia" not long ago.

Among the top 50 were two Lower Merion spots.

In Ardmore, it was Autana that made the list.

Autana came in at No. 43 on the list.

It is located at 4 Station Road in Ardmore and serves up authentic Venezuelan cuisine.

The menu offers a slew of fillings for arepas and empanadas, as well as other traditional dishes from South America, juices, teas, coffees, and more.

Here's what the magazine said about Autana:

In just a couple of strange (often terrible) years, Autana has evolved from pandemic hustle to brick-and-mortar success. First as an evening-only ghost kitchen inside Ardmore Station Café, and now in their own space — in the heart of the Main Line’s booming restaurant scene — ex-Four Seasons chef Levi Hernandez and wife Maria-Elena serve cachapas and beautifully messy patacones. What got them here is hard work, delicious empanadas — and a little luck. That’s always worth celebrating.

Autana was also highlighted in the magazine's "Philly 15" list in 2022.

Another nearby spot, Lark in Bala Cynwyd, was featured on the list as well.
