ARDMORE, PA — Past*Present*Future, an Ardmore gift shop with artistic flair, will close after a half-century in business.

Described as "part gift store, part mini-museum," artist Sherry Tillman founded the business 50 years ago in Philadelphia. The closure comes as Tillman prepares to retire.

"After 50 unforgettable years, the time has come for us to say goodbye," Tillman said on the store's social-media pages. "What began as a small business has grown into a lifetime of memories, friendships, and moments I will forever cherish."

All items will be 20 percent off for a "retirement sale" starting at 11 a.m. Monday, the business says. A closing date was not announced.

Downtown Ardmore District praised Tillman on its Facebook page.
