A Lower Merion High School celebrated a historic milestone on Tuesday night.
Boys’ basketball coach Gregg Downer earned his 500th win when Lower Merion defeated Garnet Valley, according to a report.
The arena exploded as the clock ticked down on the historic 72-55 victory, PA Prep Live reports.

The crowd chanted and cheered, holding up “500” signs throughout the stands, the report states.
“Many people have contributed to this milestone. I have been fortunate to coach many great players and work with many great coaches. I have doing this a long time and I am proud to be the captain of this ship,” Downer told PA Prep Live.
