76 East Lanes Closing Overnight This Week In Lower Merion

Electronic sign installation on Interstate 76 east will affect traffic in Lower Merion overnight this week, PennDOT said.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Periodic lane closures will affect traffic in Lower Merion Township due to electronic message sign installation, PennDOT said.

Lane closures will be in place on Interstate 76 east overnight this week.

PennDOT said the closures will be between Gladwyne on-ramp and Belmont Avenue Interchange.

Drivers will encounter the closures from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur.

All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The project, which is expected to be completed in spring 2024, also includes installation of electronic message signs and other Intelligent Transportation System components on Interstate 76 and other regional arteries.
