Academic Accolades: Dean's Lists for Chestnut Hill, Hartford, Tufts, DePaul, New Hampshire, Skidmore

University of Hartford

The University of Hartford announced that two local students have been named to the school's dean's list for the Fall 2011 term. They are:

• Greta Moorhead of Ardmore
• Deborah Riehl-Williams of Ardmore

Chartered in 1957, the University of Hartford offers undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs in the arts, the humanities, business, engineering and technology, education, and the health professions.

Chestnut Hill College

Kyrsten Wilson of Wynnewood, an early childhood and elementary education major from , Pa. was named to the dean's list at Chestnut Hill College for the fall 2011 semester.

Students are named to the dean's list at Chestnut Hill if they have achieved a grade point average of 3.6 or higher, and will be recognized at Honors Convocation on April 29, 2012 at the College.

Tufts University

Tufts University recently announced the dean's list for the Fall 2011 semester. Among these students are:

• Sarah Bleiberg of Wynnewood (class of 2012)
• Jessica Scolnic of Wynnewood (class of 2013)
• Nadav Hirsh of Wynnewood (class of 2013)

Dean's list honors at Tufts require a semester GPA of 3.4 or greater. Tufts is recognized among the premier research universities in the United States.

DePaul University

The following local residents made the dean's list at DePaul University for the fall quarter of 2011:

• Gabrielle Goldstein of Wynnewood
• Sarah Kozak of Wynnewood

In order to qualify for the dean's list at DePaul, students must earn above a 3.0 GPA on a four point scale. With more than 25,000 students, DePaul University is the largest Catholic university in the United States and the largest private, nonprofit university in the Midwest. 

University of New Hampshire

The following students have been named to the Dean's List at the University of New Hampshire for the fall semester of the 2011-2012 academic year.

• Timothy Reagan of Wynnewood (Highest Honors)
• Samuel Stevens of Wynnewood (High Honors)

Students named to the dean's list at the University of New Hampshire have earned recognition through superior performance. Highest honors are awarded to students who earn a semester GPA of 3.7 or better out of a possible 4.0. Students with a 3.5 to 3.69 average are awarded high honors and students whose grade point average is 3.2 through 3.49 are awarded honors.

Skidmore College

The following local students earned term honors for the fall semester at Skidmore College:

• Sarah Page of Wynnewood (class of 2012)
• Alexander Unkovic of Wynnewood (class of 2012)

Term honors at Skidmore are awarded for a quality point ratio of 3.6 from a possible 4.0, for students who have completed 14 credit hours. Founded in 1903, Skidmore College is a coeducational, liberal arts college that enrolls approximately 2,400 students.
