Adoptions From The Heart Holds A Benefit Concert
Adoptions From The Heart will be holding a benefit concert in Manayunk where all proceeds will go to their Birth Parent Scholarship Fund.
Adoptions From The Heart will be holding a benefit concert on November 8, 2018 from 7-11pm at Manayunk Brewing Company. The concert will include food, drinks, raffles and music from local Philadelphia bands Ha Ha Charade and The Barker Brothers.
Tickets for the event are $20 each, which includes entry, one free drink and food. However; there is currently an Early-Bird special going on, now through October 8th where guests can get $5 off their ticket if they use the coupon code “EARLYBIRD.”
In honor of National Adoption Month, all proceeds will go towards the Birth Parent Scholarship Fund. This fund helps aid birth parents in need of financial assistance and allows them to pursue their dreams by pursuing a level of education at either a four-year college, graduate school or trade school. AFTH’s most recent Birth Parent Scholarship recipient Felix began nursing school in August at Salisbury University.

“My daughter is a huge inspiration for me…I feel very motivated to be successful so that I can make her proud…I feel that I can make an impact as a psychiatric nurse. I have a passion for mental health and a nursing position is the best for me to utilize my strengths. I’m ready to dive in and make my dream a reality,” says Felix.
At the venue, Manayunk Brewing Company located at 4120 Main St., guests will be able to choose between their wide selection of beer while admiring their old-fashion industry feel.

While enjoying the scenery, guests will have the pleasure of listening to live music. We are happy to welcome back Philadelphia’s local band The Barker Brothers, a duet composed of Justin and Colin Barker. Along with them, Haha Charade will be hitting the stage, a band originating from Wilmington, DE composed of Matt Bowe, Alex Wade, Brendan McBride, and Justin Lefler. Both will be performing a mixture of covers and their own original songs.
“We are excited to play at another Adoptions From The Heart event. We have played at three previous events before this one and they are always full of great people getting together for a great cause,” says Colin from the Barker Brothers, “can’t wait!”
