Alternate Member Sought For Lower Merion Zoning Hearing Board

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — The Zoning Hearing Board of Lower Merion Township has a vacant alternate seat that needs to be filled.
The township is looking for qualified residents to serve on the alternate seat of the board, which hears and decides appeals where it is alleged there is error in any order, requirement, decision or determination made by the Zoning Officer, according to the township code.
An alternate board members are entitled to participate in all proceedings and discussions of the board to the same and full extent as provided by law for regular board members.

Alternates can participate in any proceeding or discussion of the board, but are not be entitled to vote as a regular member of the board, nor be compensated, unless designated as a voting member.

Experience in zoning or land use law is preferred.
Qualified individuals should complete the Boards & Commissions Application Form.
