Neighborhood-Owned Grocery Store In Ardmore? Local Group Mulls Opening Co-Op

ARDMORE, PA — An Ardmore neighborhood group is exploring whether to bring a co-op business to the area.

The South Ardmore Betterment Alliance (SABA) has issued a survey asking neighbors about forming a co-op — a business collectively owned by the people it serves. The survey closes July 31.

SABA is asking what type of business is missing in the neighborhood that could be filled by a co-op. Suggestions include a community café or grocery store.

"Co-ops operate under and practice the idea that we are stronger together," SABA said. "We are exploring the idea of bringing a co-op to South Ardmore and would like your input."
